My Inspiration: Have to Have Yarn
Sometimes when I am perusing the yarn store or my many pattern books I see something that is simply ‘have to have’. These are not projects or fibers that I like or kind of want: these are have to haves! Sometimes it’s a color, sometimes a fiber and sometimes it’s just a whole ‘look’ that I like. This latest trip to my LYS had me color obsessed. I found some really great purple yarn that I’m planning on making a short scarf from (with a great button of course!). It’s worsted alpaca, soft and fabulous. It wil really show off my stitches nicely so I think I will do something with a cable. I don’t know yet what I’m gonna do but it was some beautiful yarn that I just had to have!
Having recently finished my first pair of socks, I was also inspired to make another pair of foot luxuries. I saw some pretty steel grey and some pretty hot pink. You may not think that steel grey could be pretty but in a silk/alpaca combo with a little sheen it can be fabulous!
Even though I have been forbidden (by myself) from starting new projects until my last batch is done, I can still look at my pretty yarn and dream can’t I?
